Dr. Bija grew up in Shelby Township, Michigan, as the middle child among two sisters. She earned her Bachelor of Science in biological sciences from Oakland University, where she also minored in Business Administration. It was during her undergraduate years that she first realized her passion for dentistry & the positive impact it has on individuals’ lives.
This passion led her to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, where Dr. Geraldina Bija, DDS had the honor of graduating at the top of her class with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Throughout her studies, she received the Omicron Kappa Upsilon award, the national honor society for dentistry, which recognizes academic excellence & leadership. Her experiences allowed her to explore all facets of dentistry, sparking particular interests in restorative dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, & cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Geraldina Bija, DDS continues to expand her knowledge, participating in advanced training & staying current with the latest innovations in the field. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients by listening to their concerns & tailoring treatments to meet their individual needs & health goals. Her approach to dentistry is rooted in empathy, precision & a commitment to lifelong learning, ensuring that she delivers the best possible care with the most advanced techniques available. Dentistry is not just her profession; it’s her passion, & she is honored to make a difference in the lives of those she serves.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Geraldina Bija, DDS is passionate about spending time with her family & friends, traveling, cooking & reading!
